My name is Ida Hemmingsson-Holl and I am the founder of Planet Plant-Based. Thank you for visiting our website!

Though I have always loved to cook, my professional background is in international marketing for multinational companies. I always knew, however, that what I really wanted to communicate was the tremendous possibilities surrounding the vegetarian diet. So in 2014, I became a certified plant-based chef – I did lots of research, wrote a book and launched my own food blog. It is with much excitement that I am now also adding food products to this project, to create the kind of company I always thought was missing in the vegetarian world.

With exciting products, recipes and information, our ambition is to present to people how amazing the option of eating less meat and more vegetables can be.

Personally, I’ve been a vegetarian off and on since childhood. I only became a full-blown plant-based eater after extensive research on how to best heal a fractured spine following a horse riding accident ten years ago. Despite the circumstances, when I switched to this diet, I ended up feeling better than I had ever felt before.

I am a native Swede living in Munich in Germany, who still spends every summer in Stockholm. I have lived and worked for many years in New York, Hong Kong, London and Paris – and I still love to travel often. The international inspiration is key to Planet Plant-Based and in my food, you’ll find flavours from all over the world.

My husband and two children are plant-based eaters and avid recipe testers. My son and daughter are also my ultimate motivation for helping to ensure future generations can continue to enjoy this gorgeous planet. Eating less meat is very effective for anyone looking to support this cause.
