Cinnamon porridge with chia, flax and pomegranate
Today’s breakfast for two. Porridge with loads of healthy seeds, pomegranate and cinnamon for flavour. I also added a little honey, but that’s of course optional. Fantastic start to the day.
1 cup gluten-free oats
1 cup water
1 cup soy or almond milk (plus more to serve)
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flax seeds
1 tbsp cinnamon powder
A little salt
A little honey (optional)
Lots of pomegranate to serve (approximately seeds from one pomegranate for two people
A little Planet Plant-Based date syrup
1tbsp Planet Plant-Based almond butter
Put all ingredients (apart from date syrup, pomegranate and almond butter) in a pot and boil on low heat for ten minutes. Add the date syrup in the end (or serve on the side), and top off with the fresh pomegranate seeds. Drizzle a little soy or almond milk and some almond butter on top to serve.
